Shot Tower Encased
This is the old Shot Tower which can be found protected inside a mall in Melbourne, Australia. It has a steel and glass structure encompassing it. I took this while on holiday in Melbourne late 2007. It was an old factory that produced lead shot.

My Foster Mom
This picture is special to me because I have always considered my foster Mom (from when I was 13 and still now at 31) to be my Angel. In this picture she is doing what she always does, and that is talking to the Heavens. I think it is very strong creativly especially with the simplicity of the antique look and the light on her face. I would be so very proud to show here that she is beautifull enough to me and the world for her picture to be picked.

The Real Tooth Fairy
This was an idea I have had for nearly a year. I wanted to create a character that was a bit out of the norm. Future images of this character will be out in public doing everyday things, but only a child will see him. This is a self portrait of myself along with my daughter. It was taken in my living room studio. While I probably should be slightly embarassed by this picture, it just brings a huge smile to my face. My family has alot of fun together.

LeAnne
This is a photo of my sister LeAnne. She is getting ready for a summer wedding here, but I loved how beautiful she looked before she was even ready--so I took her photo. The bright blues, greens, and pinks were just a bonus.

Dennis the Menace
Editor's Announcement
Congratulations to Ryan Pollock. Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital "Favorite Kodak Moment" Contest Winner
I snapped this photo of my nephew Eli while he was mowing the grass. I call the photo "Dennis the Menace" because Eli is always up to something, and he had a mischievous look at the time the photo was snapped.

Best Buds
We were driving down a backroad on our way home and I snapped this picture. It just seemed to turn out! (At least for a spur of the moment snap shot.) These two are inseparable. Zeus (the dog) and Trint go to work together everyday and you rarely see them apart.

Angel Dreams
The Angel at Bass Hall has become an icon in Fort Worth Texas that represents the cities commitment to the Arts! I captured this image on a summer morning in 2007 when the big blue Texas sky was accented beautifully with wispy white clouds!

Hyla rufitela
I took this picture (August 2007) at the El Zota Biological Field Station in Costa Rica during a herpetology field course. He was sleeping on a leaf when we found him, but woke up and hopped away as I snapped this picture.

Yellow Leaf, Blue Car
I was driving through a forested area as it began to rain. After a short time, this leaf wafted down and landed the hood of my car. I just loved the way the yellow of the leaf stood out against the blue of my car, particularly with the accent of the rain drops. Since I had my camera, I pulled over before the leaf blew away, hopped out of my car, and made an exposure.

Photo Story: This is Dixie, my boyfriends English Mastiff. I had a hard time getting her to look into the camera, so I put a stick up to the lens. She ended up biting it! I love this shot of her!

Like a bowl full of jelly
It was during the last week of my pregnancy and I was overdue. I was at the point where if I didn't laugh, I would just cry. My friend Joan took some pictures for the baby book. As she was taking them, the baby was doing what felt like cartwheels and it got me to giggling like mad. She snapped the picture and it was an instant favorite.

Editor's Note:To Mom's everywhere, Happy Mother's Day!
Photo Story: This picture is special to me because it's of me and my son. I'm always the one behind the camera taking pictures and I really wanted to try to capture a moment between the two of us... So I put the camera on a chair and set the timer and got this shot which I love. I took this picture in my backyard about a month ago. I love my son with all that I am and I am just so happy to finally have a nice picture of the two of us.

The Sweet Smell of Spring
I captured my 8 year old daughter, who was only 6 at the time, bending down to smell some daffodils. I thought this shot would look beautiful on canvas, so, I thought I would try my hand at digital painting, making this my very first project.

Garden Goddess
Due to the climate I live in, I can garden only about half the year. During those months I spend so much time in the garden, and take on so many projects there, that my husband "Photo Shopped" this image of me as a joke.

A Tribute to Johnny Cash
This is my daughter's friend. My daughter and her friend perform live tributes to Johnny Cash and June Carter. They wanted me to take some night portraits for them so they could use their own pictures on their posters.
A cobbled street was the setting for this photograph using only a street light for my lighting.

It's Baseball Season!
This picture was taken at Kauffman Stadium waiting for a Royals game to start. Her daddy loves baseball and this is his favorite picture of her. Since the day she was born, he has been drilling her with baseball stats.
